ZipRecruiter Miami
Working with an in-house marketing team (Eric Sanabria, Creative Direction; David Neipris, Copywriting) a B2B Miami-based bus shelter campaign was created to establish ZipRecruiter as a go-to staffing solution for small businesses. Our campaign applied a custom illustration style, an extended color palette, and market-specific typography to nest the brand comfortably in this vibrant and eclectic city.
Roles
Art Direction, Illustration & Visual Design
Art Direction
Miami’s unique melting-pot of cultures gave birth to our hybrid art direction. Employing a blend of hand-crafted mosaic tile with the clean-yet-playful aesthetics of art deco architecture, ZipRecruiter’s message resonated in a highly-localized design language. Contrasting the realism of neighborhood landmarks with brightly-colored vector illustrations helped create eye-catching compositions.
Color
Three separate compositional palettes were created to reference Miami’s classic art deco buildings. These palettes also needed to support ZipRecruiter’s brand green, which was used in copy color and as a foundational tab on each composition to ground the brand’s presence.
Typography
HandDeco is a display typeface that feels hand-rendered and references typefaces from the art deco era, making it a perfect fit for our Miami campaign. Utilizing two different weights highlights the call-and-response of the campaign’s copy.
Responsive Digital
Working in Figma, design elements from the key art were adapted for a responsive digital experience. This allowed for a user to have a seamless marketing experience from scanning the print ad’s QR code to posting a job opening on ZipRecruiter’s digital portal.
